The State University of New York at Fredonia will welcome back alumni Zachary Beaudoin (English and International Studies, ’17), Justin Cunningham (Finance - Business Administration, ’15), Monica Manney (Journalism, ’19), and Christopher Reybrouck (English Adolescence Education, ’08) for a three-day on-campus residency sponsored by Writers @ Work on Thursday, Thursday, April 2 through Saturday, April 4. All events are free and open to the public.
The theme of this Fredonia Convocation Event is “Be the Change,” and all four alumni will draw on their current career experiences as active community change-makers during this residency series. Special emphasis will be placed on the role of writing—for multiple audiences, platforms and purposes—in proposing and implementing change.
A highlighted event of the series is the “Be the Change” open forum on Thursday, April 2 at 6:30-8:00 p.m. in the Williams Center Multipurpose Room. The four alumni will share their current projects, how they got started on their careers, and how SUNY Fredonia helped them get there. They will also field questions about how to turn a big idea into a practical reality.
