WNY Day Of Percussion

New York State  Chapter of The Percussive Arts Society, with the Percussion Guild of the Fredonia Student Association, and The Fredonia School of Music present:

WNY Day of Percussion will be held on the SUNY Fredonia campus with guest artists:

Dominick Cuccia, Rudimental Snare Drumming

Torell Moss, Orchestral Percussionist

John Bacon, Jr., Jazz Drummer/Composer

Alec Dube, Jazz Vibraphonist

Events Include:

  • clinics focusing on jazz drumming

  • rudimental snare drum and orchestral percussion

  • concerts and performances by middle and high school, collegiate, and professional performers

  • DRUMSET COMPETITION (register here)

  • concert featuring the Percussion Ensemble Competition winners



ADMISSION: $5.00 (cash only, at the door)

8:30 AM - Check In, Mason Hall Lobby

9:00 AM - The Groove and Spirit of Rudimental Drumming: Dominick Cuccia, Mason Hall 1080

10:00 AM - Becoming The Orchestral Percussionist: Torrell Moss, Mason Hall 1080

11:00 AM - Coordinating Melody, Pitch, and Rhythm: John Bacon & Alec Dube, Mason Hall 1080

12:15 PM - Lunch (on your own)

1:15 PM - Percussion Ensemble Concert, Rosch Recital Hall

2:30 PM - Drum Set Competition, Rosch Recital Hall
