Using OER to make your course materials more affordable

Costly textbooks and other course materials can have a negative effect on the learning process of students. In a recent study involving SUNY Fredonia students, nearly 44% of participants stated that they could not afford to purchase the materials needed for their classes. 10% of participants dropped a course as a result of their inability to require the necessary materials. By supplementing or replacing textbooks with open educational resources (OER), you can help to make education more accessible! Join us October 21st at 2:00 to discover Fredonia’s resources for learning about and finding OER.
