SUNY's Got Your Back is an initiative to provide comfort bags with personal hygiene products to local domestic violence shelters and rape crisis centers. Since 2016, over 35,000 bags have been distributed to local shelters across the state.
Fredonia will be hosting a SUNY's Got Your Back event on Thursday, October 17th in the Multipurpose Room of the Williams Center, 9:30am - 3:00pm. The bags will be delivered to the Anew Center, which is Chautauqua County's domestic violence and sexual assault program.
SUNY provides us with the bags and personal care items. As a campus, we provide the volunteers to assemble the bags and assist with loading them in the delivery van.
