For the month of October, in celebration of Halloween, RE3D (Reed Library’s 3D Printing Program) is excited to announce its first-ever virtual pumpkin carving contest!
A 3D model of a pumpkin has been hollowed out and scaled to contain an LED tealight. Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to download this file and use a free online 3D design program, Tinkercad, to virtually “carve” their own jack-o-lantern.
The contest ends on 10/31, when all 3D printed jack o' lanterns that have been uploaded to the Virtual Pumpkin Patch will be voted on in the following categories for Student and Faculty/Staff entries:
