More than 55 students will join forces for the annual Orchesis Fall Showcase this October at the State University of New York at Fredonia.

The Orchesis Dance Company presents “The Magic of Movement” from Oct. 10 to 12 in the Alice E. Bartlett Theatre.Mackenzie Phelps, a BFA Dance & BA Psychology major, serves president of Orchesis.

“Our show features 15 dances in a variety of styles, including contemporary, musical theatre, tap, jazz, and hip-hop,” Phelps said. “One of these pieces is our cast piece which is a collaborative work choreographed by our executive board that features nearly every dancer in the showcase.”

Phelps said Orchesis hopes the audiences will “walk away inspired by the creativity, passion, and individuality each dancer brings to the stage.”
