Homecoming 2020 Tentative Shedule

Friday, October 16 – Sunday, October 18, 2020

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the uncertain situation that the covid-19 pandemic has created, there is an excellent chance that some of these events will be postponed.  Some events may be changed to virtual meetings. At this time, it is recommended that anyone who plans to visit campus must wear a mask and use hand sanitizer. 9 AM – 5 PM  Bookstore is Open --  University Commons (formerly Cranston Hall).

9 AM – 5 PM  Study Abroad Gallery Exhibit – Display of Fredonia alumni who have traveled abroad. Williams Center Main Floor. Free.

Noon – 9 PM  Art Gallery Exhibit-- An exhibition of  Teresa Booth Brown: The Neo-Quietism Project.  The Cathy and Jesse Marion Art Gallery, Rockefeller Arts Center. Free.

1 PM – 5 PM  Registration and Ticket Pick Up -- Alumni House, 286 Central Ave.

2 PM – 4 PM  Writers@Work Presentation and Reception– Co-Sponsored by the Fredonia Office of Alumni Affairs, English Dept., Fredonia College Foundation, and Carnahan Jackson Foundation.  Location TBD. Free.

4 PM Biology Keynote Presentation.--.  Room 105 Science Center. Free.

5 PM   Homecoming Dinner --  Main Floor, Williams Center. Celebrating the Classes of 1955, 1960, 1965, and 1970, recognition of Alumni Award recipients. Williams Center (formerly known as the Campus Center). Reservations recommended. Seating is limited. $40.00/person.

 7 PM  Student Pep Rally/ Talent Show--  Indoor Track, Steele Hall.  Crowning of Homecoming Royalty. Free.

7:30 PM – 9 PM Recreational Public Ice Skating -- Ice Arena. Nominal rental charge for skates.

8 PM  1970’s Reunion Jazz Concert --  Rosch Recital Hall, Mason Hall. Free.

Saturday, October 17, 2020

8 AM – 5 PM Registration and Ticket Pick Up --Williams Center Information Booth. Coffee may be purchased at STARBUCKS and TIM HORTONS.

9 AM – 5 PM  Study Abroad Gallery Exhibit – Display of Fredonia alumni who have traveled abroad. Williams Center Main Floor. Free.

11 AM Campus Tour --  Meet at Information Booth, Williams Center. Free.

11 AM – 5 PM Bookstore  -- Open. University Commons (formerly known as Cranston Hall).

12:30 PM  Class of 1970 Luncheon  --  Horizon Room, lower level Williams Center . $35.00/ person. Reservations recommended.

1 PM  Thinking About Teaching  --  Book signing by Casey Jakubowski ’98.  Bookstore, first floor, University Commons.

1 PM – 3 PM   Network on the GoJob/Internship Fair – A collaborative event for employers, alumni, and students.  First floor Williams Center (formerly known as the Student Union or Campus Center). Free. For more information, please contact Jennifer.Wilkins@fredonia.edu

2 PM Fredonia 1891 Opera House Tour  --Village Hall, Fredonia, NY. Transportation is on your own. Free.

2 PM - 4 PM   Alumni Get Together -- Dods Grove/Tent/DJ. Nominal charge for beer. Please bring ID. 

3 PM    Tour of newly renovated Houghton Hall. Meet by door facing Reed Library. Free

4 PM – 6 PM  Sweetheart Soiree on Sweetest Day --for anyone who met their significant other in Fredonia. Dennis and Katherine Costello Room, Lobby of Marvel Theatre. Champagne Toast and anniversary cake included. $10/per person at door.

5:30 PM - Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Dinner, Main Floor, Williams Center.

6 PM – 9 PM  Class of 1990 --  Twenty Year Reunion Happy Hour , Old Main Inn, Water St. Complimentary munchies. Cash Bar.

7 PM – 9 PM   Recreational Public Ice Skating -- Ice Arena. Nominal rental charge for skates.

9 PM Class of 2010 --  Ten Year Reunion Happy Hour,  Old Main Inn, Water St. Complimentary munchies. Cash Bar.

9 PM  Downtown Meetings --  Look for location assignments at Homecoming Registration Booth.  All honored classes (1975, 1980, 1985, 1990, 1995, 2000, 2005, 2010, and 2015) will have opportunities to convene at designated establishments downtown.
