7 PM  Book Launch. Join English faculty member, Dr. Christina Jarvis, with the release of her new book, Lucky Mud & Other Foma, A Field Guide to Kurt Vonnegut’s Planetary Citizenship. There will be a brief commentary by Outstanding Achievement Award recipient, Sean Kirst ‘81. Diers Recital Hall. Free.

8:30 AM - 9 PM Freedonia Marxonia 2022 display "Music and the Marx Brothers" - Reed Library. The associated virtual program, "If You Get Near a Song, Play It!: The Marx Brothers and Music" created by author, performer, and Marx Brothers expert Noah Diamond, is available for viewing on YouTube. See the Freedonia Marxonia website for information. Free.

11:30 AM Golden Alumni Buffet Lunch – Horizon Room, Lower Level, Williams Center (formerly known as the Campus Center). For all graduates of 1969 and before. Reservations recommended. $30/person.

Noon – 6 PM   Art Gallery Exhibit — To See Inside: Understanding the People and Architecture of the U.S. Prison System by Denver artist, Sarah McKenzie, recipient of the Marion International Fellowship. The Cathy and Jesse Marion Art Gallery, Rockefeller Arts Center. Free.

2 PM Dedication of Houghton Hall - Meet in Main Lobby. Free.

2:30 PM Tour of the 1891 Fredonia Opera House (formerly known as the Wintergarden), Village Hall, Fredonia. Transportation on your own. Free.

3 PM – 5 PM Biology Guest Speaker.  Noted alum and philanthropist, Dennis Costello ‘72, Kelly Auditorium, Science Center. Free.

5 :30 PM - 7:30 PM Homecoming Reception/Awards Recognition - Main Floor, Williams Center. Celebrating the Classes of 1957, 1962, 1967, 1970,1971 and 1972, recognition of Alumni Outstanding Achievement Award recipients. Williams Center (formerly known as the Campus Center).  Cash beer/wine bar. Reservations recommended. $10/person.

8 PM – 10 PM Observatory Open House at the Telescope– (weather permitting. Backup date is Saturday, Oct. 15, from 8 PM – 10 PM). (See details in Homecoming Highlights article) A final decision based on Friday's weather will be made by 5 PM, on Friday, and posted on the Fredonia Observatory facebook page.

9 AM Tribute to Robert Coon - commemorative ceremony celebrating the accomplishments of the late Bob Coon. Outdoors near the "Three Men on the Hill" sculpture near Rockefeller Arts Center. Sponsored by the Hillman Memorial Music Association. Free.  

9:30 AM Scholars/Donors Brunch – Cranston Marche'. By invitation only.

10 AM Women’s Alumni Soccer Game -- University Stadium. Free.

11 AM Campus Walking Tour -- Meet at Information Booth, Williams Center. Free.

1 PM – 2 PM  Faculty Cookie Smackdown, sponsored by the Communication Department. Join the Comm. Faculty for sweets and coffee as the professors bring delicious treats from their ovens to campus, 214 McEwen Hall. Free.

2 PM - 3 PM  Papers on Historical Algonquian and Iroquois Topics - Book Signing by David A. Ezzo,  PhD ’85 (Anthropology major), an historical compilation of the mores of Native American females. Bookstore, University Commons.

2 PM - 4 PM   Alumni Get Together -- Dods Grove/Tent/DJ. Nominal charge for beer. Please bring ID. 

3 PM    Tour of newly renovated Houghton Hall. Meet at front door facing Jewett Hall. Free.

3 PM – 4 PM Concert featuring Joey Molland of the band Bad Finger, Paul Davies, faculty member, Armand Petri, and Music Industry students. W101 Thompson Hall. Free.

3 PM – 5 PM School of Business Reception. Room W301 Thompson Hall. Free.

4 PM – 5 PM Antwerp, Belgium Junior Semester Study Abroad Reunion for anyone who had the opportunity to travel in the 1960’s and 1970’s. Blue Lounge, (formerly Tim Hortons Lounge), main floor, Williams Center. Please bring any photos. Reservations recommended. Free.

4 PM – 6 PM Sweetheart Soiree.  Costello Room, Atrium Lobby of Marvel Theatre, Rockefeller Arts Center. One complimentary glass of champagne and cake for all who met their spouse, significant other on campus. Reservations recommended. Free.

8 PM College Symphony Orchestra Concert – featuring the Avner Dorman Piano Concerto, made possible through the generosity of our alumnus, Chris Granger '66. The commission is dedicated to the School of Music and to the Class of 1966.  King Concert Hall, Rockefeller Arts Center. Free.

9 PM Downtown Meetings -- Look for location assignments at Homecoming Registration Booth.  All honored classes will have opportunities to convene at designated establishments downtown.
