"The Fisherman and his Wife" by the Brothers Grimm, presented by the Fredonia Young Company (FYC)

For its inaugural year, Fredonia Young Company (FYC) is presenting, "The Fisherman and his Wife" by the Brothers Grimm -- a play to explore the true meaning of happiness, love and the powerful consequences behind wishes.

The show has been carefully designed for children and families from different walks of life and calls the participation of the public to help the company create the fantastic universe of this classic fairy tale.

FYC’s version of the tale was written in 1998 by Larry and Vivian Snipes. Together, they run the Lexington Children’s Theatre in Kentucky.

Fredonia Young Company (FYC) believes that theater should entertain, educate and be accessible to everyone, especially young audiences. Our challenge is to achieve those ideals by presenting our interactive shows in elementary schools throughout Chautauqua County.
