The concert, in King Concert Hall, will be conducted by Dr. Emily Schaad. Organizers note, “Come hear Fredonia's own symphony play familiar favorites and a groovy modern piece!”

The concert will feature the “Overture to William Tell” by Gioacchino Rossini, the Bassoon Concerto in B flat major by W.A. Mozart with student soloist Catharine “Cate” Palanski, “The Dancing Moonlight” by Dai Wei and Symphony No. 7 in C major, Op. 105 by Jean Sibelius.

Ms. Palanski is a winner of the 2025 SUNY Fredonia Concerto Competition. She is a senior from Rochester, NY, studying Music Education and Music Performance, and studies bassoon with Professor Laura Koepke.

The orchestra is comprised of 90 School of Music students and will be joined by faculty member Dr. Sarah Hamilton.

Admission is free and the public is invited to attend.
