Democracy 101: Information and Digital Literacy in a Democratic Society

Presented by Dr. Michael Scialdone, Computer & Information Science

Dr. Michael J. Scialdone is an assistant professor in the Department of Computer and Information Sciences at The State University of New York at Fredonia. He holds a Ph.D. in Information Science and Technology, a M.S. in Information Design and Technology, and a B.A. in Communication Arts. He is also a photographer, radio host, cartoonist, and unabashed cat lover.

Democracy 101 is a place for informal talks by Fredonia faculty who provide contexts and explanation about topics in the news with an open discussion to follow.   These discussions are free and open to the public. Light refreshments provided. This series is offered as part of Fredonia's All In Campus Democracy Challenge.
