Students will have the opportunity to connect with a variety of local service agencies so they can learn about and sign up for volunteer opportunities.
Participating agencies include: American Red Cross, American Cancer Society, Boys and Girls Club of NCC, Buffalo Bills Foundation, Camp Gross, Girls Scouts of Western NY, Catholic Charities, Campus and Community Children's Center, Cancer Services of Chautauqua County, Chautauqua Adult Day Care, Chautauqua Alcohol and Substance Abuse Council, Habitat for Humanity, Chautauqua and Lakeshore Humane Societies, Chautauqua County Rural Ministry (Friendly Kitchen), Chautauqua Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Chautauqua County Youth Bureau, Circle of Love, Community Blood Bank, Court Appointed Special Advocates, Dunkirk-Fredonia Meals on Wheels, Fredonia Fire Department, Greystone Nature Preserve, Fredonia Place, Fredonia Fire Department, Fredonia Presbyterian Church (Food Pantry), Fredonia Migrant Education Program, Literacy Volunteers, Make-A-Wish, Salvation Army, St. Columban's on the Lake Retirement Home, Upward Bound Program, United Way of NCC, Youngerman Center for Communication Disorders among others.
The Office of Volunteer and Community Services, in conjunction with its Voluneer Services Advisory Committee will sponsor its 14th Community Service Fair held at the State University of New York at Fredonia in the Williams Center Multipurpose Room on Wednesday, September 20th. The event will take place from 10am until 2pm.
