Benefit Concert for Fredonia music alum, Dr. Ann Fronckowiak, oboe

Dr. Sarah Hamilton, oboe faculty at Fredonia School of Music, will be hosting a benefit/celebration concert on February 21, 2020 at 8pm in Rosch Recital Hall on the SUNY Fredonia campus for oboist and former student, Dr. Ann Fronckowiak.
 
Ann is a WNY native, Fredonia School of Music alum and former faculty, and currently battling metastatic breast cancer. The concert is open to the public. Free will donations will be accepted at the door or made online at: www.gofundme.com/f/ann039s-cancer-recurrence-and-continuing-care
All proceeds will go to her ongoing medical expenses. Also, Ann will donate a portion to the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer, where she was first treated, and to Angel Flight South Central, which flies her to treatment in Houston.
 
Performers will include: Fredonia SOM faculty Sarah Hamilton, Barry Crawford, Kay Stonefelt, Laura Koepke, James Piorkowski, Jannis Peterson, and Marc Guy. The program will also feature Anna Mattix from the Buffalo Philharmonic, Robyn Costa of the Dayton Philharmonic, Joann Lamolino a member of the Hawaii Symphony, and Carly Johnson, chair of music at Alabama State University. Fredonia alumni Janice Pylinski, April Hartung, Bill Cocca, John Iocco, Cory Grant, Sarah Lapaglia, Megan Blake, Mona Lungerhausen, Susan Gierthy, and Lydia Herren will share the stage with Ann’s cousin, Kate Wipij, and her former student, Flor Cruz. SOM alum, Bradley Meholick, will conduct a new piece he has written especially for this event and Ann.
